IMPORTANT NOTE (2/23/21): When the next billing generates, members will be able to review the gas cost increase under their current gas charges. If a member is on the budget plan, their budget amount due will remain the same until it recalculates in April. If necessary, the account will be adjusted at that time to accurately reflect the usage and balance on the account as it normally would.
You can even out your energy costs by choosing our Budget Billing program. We will bill you the same amount each month to make budgeting your money easier. Then you can pay by traditional means or sign up for the Auto Pay program to fully automate your payments.
You must have received service from the co-op for at least six months and have a good credit history to qualify for Budget Billing. When you first sign up, your amount due each month is calculated on your average usage over the previous 12 months.
To help ensure that what you pay continues to track your true usage, your budget payment amount is recalculated twice a year - in April and October. At that time, we will review your energy use, average your total energy usage for the previous 12 months, and recalculate your new usage based on your past 12-month consumption. Your budget amount could increase or decrease depending on your actual energy use.
